Radiante, conversador e dono de um cabelo Black Power de dar inveja, João Bernardo sempre chamou atenção por onde passava. Desde cedo, sua mãe lhe ensinara que sua cor, sua sexualidade e sua condição financeira não eram motivos de vergonha, e sim de orgulho. Mas desde que João retornou de uma viagem com o namorado, isso mudou. Confuso e descrente de tudo, ele não parou mais em nenhum emprego e passa a maior parte do tempo sem conversar com a mãe. Sentindo-se ainda mais confuso sobre seus sentimentos, João pediu um tempo ao namorado.
Miguel, por outro lado, ao perceber o afastamento do namorado, quer fazer de tudo para provar a ele que o relacionamento vale a pena. Sem entender o motivo que deixou João Bernardo tão distante, começa a se questionar se seu jeito de se expressar possa ter causado esse afastamento. Na busca para entender os acontecimentos que os levaram a esse momento, ambos se deparam com suas inseguranças, suposições, o medo que sentem de encarar a situação e o preconceito em uma sociedade conservadora e pregadora da heteronormatividade.
João e Miguel precisam lidar com as emoções e entender o que o relacionamento significou para, somente assim, poderem se reencontrar e lutar pelo amor que sentem.

Bright, talkative, and with an enviable Black Power haircut, João Bernardo always attracts attention wherever he goes. From an early age, his mother taught him that his skin colour, sexuality, and financial status were nothing to be ashamed of, but rather something to be proud of. But, when João returns from a trip with his boyfriend, everything changes. Confused and disbelieving, he spends most of his time avoiding communication with his mother. Even more confused about his feelings, João asks his boyfriend for a break.
Miguel, on the other hand, notices his boyfriend's withdrawal and is determined to prove to him that their relationship is worth fighting for. Without understanding why João Bernardo has become so distant, he begins to wonder if his way of expressing himself might be causing this estrangement. In their search for an understanding of the events that led them to this moment, both are confronted with their insecurities, their assumptions, their fear of facing the situation, and the prejudices of a conservative society and preacher of heteronormativity.
João and Miguel must confront their feelings and discover what their relationship truly means to them. Only then can they find each other again and fight for the love they feel.

Maristela está insatisfeita com a própria vida. Desde que se assumiu bissexual, a relação com seus pais piorou, impossibilitando-a de conviver em paz com eles. O sonho de conquistar sua independência parece ser a única coisa capaz de fazê-la esquecer da melancolia que permeia seus dias.

The dream of gaining independence seems to be the only remedy for the melancholy that fills her days. For Maristela, there is no one more important in the world than Felipe Leonardo. However, the tragic loss of Felipe in a hit-and-run accident turns her world upside down.
