Hello, readers! Welcome to my blog, your new space to talk about books, stories, and everything that flirts with mystery, emotion, and the darkness that hides in every soul.
I’m Eudes Bispo, creator of Eudelivros and author of the horror novel The Abyss Gazes Also Into You, first published on November 4th, 2022 (Brazil).
The story takes place in the eerie town of Bosque Fundo, where, on October 31st, the residents decide to make Halloween an official celebration for the first time.
Everyone — from children to adults — is thrilled to join the festivities. But what begins as a harmless night of fun soon turns into a macabre nightmare.
As the full moon rises, long-buried secrets return to the surface, and the line between nightmare and reality fades away. By the end of the night, the townsfolk will realize that when you stare too long into the abyss… the abyss also gazes back.
This Halloween, on October 31st, 2025, The Abyss Gazes Also Into You will be available for free, including its Spanish and English editions: 📘 El Abismo También Mira Dentro de Ti 📕 The Abyss Gazes Also Into You
And to celebrate this spooky season, I’ve prepared a list of haunting book recommendations for you to explore. Stories that will take you through fear, madness, and the beauty that only horror can reveal.
🕯️ 1. Bird Box — Josh Malerman.
A modern horror classic. In a world invaded by invisible entities that drive people insane upon sight, Malorie must survive blindfolded while protecting her children. Bird Box blends psychological horror with a mother’s desperate love, it’s chilling and emotional in equal measure.
👁️ 2. Malorie — Josh Malerman.
The sequel takes place years later, following Malorie as she faces a world still haunted by the creatures. This time, she’s not just surviving — she’s confronting her fear and her own past. A gripping and tense continuation that expands Malerman’s dark universe.
💀 3. Pet Sematary (O Cemitério) — Stephen King.
Few books explore grief like this one. When Louis Creed discovers a burial ground that can bring back the dead, he learns that some doors — once opened — should never be closed again. One of King’s darkest and most disturbing novels.
👻 4. It — Stephen King.
A masterpiece of cosmic horror and coming-of-age storytelling. In Derry, a town cursed by an ancient evil that takes the form of Pennywise the Clown, a group of friends face the darkness, both within and beyond themselves.
🩸 5. Carmilla — Sheridan Le Fanu.
Before Dracula, there was Carmilla. This gothic tale from the 19th century tells of a young woman’s fascination and fear for a mysterious visitor who may be a vampire. A sensual, atmospheric story that helped shape queer horror as we know it.
🌕 6. The Wolf’s Howl (O Uivo do Lobo) — Larissa Prado.
A tale that blends folklore and psychological horror. In a quiet village, the ancient fear of the beast returns, but the true monster may not be the one that howls in the night.
🌑 7. Ruído Lunar e Outros Contos Insólitos — Larissa Prado.
A collection of eerie and poetic stories that explore loneliness, the supernatural, and the shadows hidden in everyday life. Each tale is a glimpse into human fragility and the strange beauty of fear.

This anthology is a journey through twisted and morbid tales, filled with irony and a touch of dark humor. Perfect for readers who enjoy horror that is both grotesque and intelligent.
🪞 9. A Luz da Cegueira — Patrick Correa.
A psychological and supernatural thriller that questions perception and faith. As light and darkness blur, readers are drawn into a spiral of mystery and madness.
⚙️ 10. O Rosemberg — Patrick Correa.
Mixing suspense and horror, this novel presents a protagonist trapped between guilt and the unknown. As his sanity fades, we question what’s real and what’s just the echo of a disturbed mind.

A haunting story about grief and the thin line between life and death. Patrick Correa builds a chilling narrative where silence itself becomes the most terrifying scream.
🧠 12. Nas Profundezas da Loucura — Skript Editora.
A collection inspired by Lovecraftian horror and the madness of existence. These stories dive into the abyss of the human mind, where reason collapses and the void whispers back.
🪓 13. A Face do Ceifeiro — Elisa Nunes.
A fast-paced and chilling novel that personifies death in unexpected ways. Elisa Nunes delivers a narrative that’s dark, elegant, and full of suspense until the final page.
🕸️ 14. A Body Remembered (Um Corpo Reconhecido) — Bito Borges.
A sharp, visceral story about memory, trauma, and identity. Borges explores the body as a haunted space, where every scar tells a story and every secret refuses to die.
📖 15. Connected – Djalma Marquesani.
In Connected, we meet Marcos, a man who gains mental powers after an accident. Now, he must face a kidnapper who mutilates his victims. A supernatural thriller filled with suspense and tension, it questions the limits of the human mind.
